Welcome to Episode 35 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is Katie Gale  from www.FamilySearchIndexing.org who will be presenting at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots".

Katie is publications editor for FamilySearch Indexing. Katie also teaches indexing classes at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family History and specializes in Scandinavian research.

KATIE'S CLASSES

TITLE: FamilySearch Indexing: The Funnest Work You've Ever Done
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: All
DESCRIPTION: Indexes created at your fingertips! Be part of an international initiative to index the world’s largest collection of genealogical records. This class will give you indexing background and basics to help you understand where to begin, how to help, and what we can achieve.

TITLE: FamilySearch Indexing for Power Users
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Experienced
DESCRIPTION: Once you have encountered the basics of indexing, this class is for you. We will be discussing a variety of ways to increase your indexing experience from program tips, tools, and more.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
