Episode 27 ~ Meet Jonathan Walker of Cache Valley, Utah

Welcome to Episode 27 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is Jonathan Walker from www.mexicanfhr.com, who will present at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots".

Jonathan resides in Logan, Utah. He served an LDS mission in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He learned the Spanish language and learned to love the people of Mexico. Jonathan has over 15 years of genealogical research experience doing his own research and helping others.

JONATHAN'S CLASSES

TITLE:  Tracing Your Hispanic or Mexican Ancestry
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: All
DESCRIPTION: This class will cover research strategies, record types, and research helps. For tracing your Hispanic or Mexican Ancestors, in Latin America.

TITLE:  Helping Hispanic Researchers in your Family History Center
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner
DESCRIPTION: This class will focus on how to help Hispanics get started on their research, this class is ideal for Family History Center workers and ward consultants, who are looking for ways to help Hispanics to get started on their family history.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
