Welcome to Episode 25 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is Marlo Schuldt, from Heritage Collector, who will present at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots".

Marlo is President of LifeStory Productions, Inc. an Orem, Utah based company that develops family history software and provides assistance to individuals desiring to gather, prepare, print and share family history. He received BS and MS degrees from Brigham Young University, is married and is the father of five children and 8 grandchildren. He recently received a patent on the Heritage Collector Software.

TITLE: Easier Scanning For Great Results
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: All
DESCRIPTION: Good scans form the basis of many family history projects. Learn how to get the best possible scans while saving time by doing it right the first time. Demonstrations will teach you simple tips and tricks to achieve dramatic results. No rocket science. This will be fun and interesting. Questions welcome.

TITLE: A Family Geocache – Exploring, Traveling and Making Your Own
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: All
DESCRIPTION: Help your children, grandchildren and future generations discover their heritage and history by traveling to forgotten places, ancestral homes, gravesites, the old farm, where you grew up and more. Learn about Google Earth, GPS and how to get coordinates without buying a GPS. Learn to use your car’s navigation system to take you to personal family history sites.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
