Welcome to Episode 24 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is David Graham, from Ancestry.com, a presenter and sponsor at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots".

David is Senior Product Manager for the World Archives Project at The Generations Network (Ancestry.com), where he has worked for over 10 years. He earned his BA and MBA at Brigham Young University. He’s especially passionate about what people collaborating together can do for family history.

TITLE: Saving the World's History One Record at a Time: World Archives Project

DESCRIPTION: The stories that make up this worlds history have been captured on fragile paper. These records are often all that’s left of ancestors’ lives. Sadly, many of the world’s historical records are disappearing faster than we can archive them on our own. Ancestry.com introduces the Ancestry World Archives Project. In this class you will learn more about this exciting project, our tools and the team.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
