Welcome to Episode 7 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is Steve Anderson, from FamilySearch.org who will be presenting at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots".

Steve directs the marketing efforts for FamilySearch, which offers genealogy and family history services provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Millions of people access the resources through www.FamilySearch.org, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, or over 4,500 worldwide Family History Centers. Along with Steve’s international business and marketing experience, he’s an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix.

TITLE: FamilySearch: What's New and What's Coming
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginning
DESCRIPTION: FamilySearch is the largest provider of family history resources and records in the world with extensive information from over 100 countries freely available to the public. Recent developments promise a flood of new indexes, records, and resources will soon be available. Focus will be on how to use these vast resources and how to get more involved.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
