WELCOME to Episode 2 of the Family History Expos Genealogy Podcast series, with your host DearMYRTLE.

Myrt's guest for the podcast is Sue Clark who will be presenting at the upcoming Mesa Arizona Family History Expo, to be held 14-15 November 2008 at the Mesa Convention Center. This year's theme is  "CyberExchange 101: Learn the tech to search your roots". Sue has been researching family history for over 30 years. She's written two books about different branches of her family and is working on a third. Sue and her husband indexed a cemetery in PA. She has spoken on various genealogy topics to her Family History Society of Arizona chapter.

TITLE: Ellis Island and the Immigrant Experience

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner-Experienced

DESCRIPTION: Come learn how our immigrant ancestors saw and experienced Ellis Island, with photos and a step-by-step tour through the admittance process. On-line and print sources for records (passenger lists and ship's photos) will be featured, including those from Castle Garden, the processing station in operation before Ellis Island.

Classes
Pre-registration (through 1 Nov 2008) is $75 for the classes. Late registration is $90. At-the-door registration is $50 per day. You will receive a registration packet, name tag, CD syllabus, and a goody bag. Please pick these up when you check in at the event.  For those wishing to receive their syllabus as a printed book there is an additional cost of $24.95 plus shipping. Books will not ship until after the event. For your convenience we will have them available to pick up at the Expo if you like.

Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost.
